Member Benefits

Mentoring Scheme

The South Eastern Circuit Mentoring Scheme pairs established practitioners with experienced colleagues — including KCs and senior juniors — across the Circuit. The scheme is one of the Circuit's most valued member benefits.

Who can take part

  • For mentees

    Pupils and junior barristers

Pupils and junior barristers practising on the South Eastern Circuit are invited to apply for a mentor. Members will be able to apply through the member portal once that workflow is live.

  • For mentors

    Senior practitioners and KCs

Senior members of the Circuit who would like to volunteer as mentors are warmly invited to register their interest. Mentor sign-up will be available through the member portal alongside the mentee workflow.

  • For silk applicants

    Silk mentoring

Further detail on the Silk mentoring stream will be added here. Members preparing an application for silk will be able to apply for a mentor through the same scheme, with guidance tailored to the silk application process.
