About the Mess
Covering the Cambridgeshire court centres of Cambridge Crown Court, Peterborough Crown Court and Huntingdon Crown Court, the Cambridgeshire Bar Mess serves a distinctive and varied community of practitioners. The courts sit within one of the country's most historically significant cities, and the Mess has long made the most of that setting.
The Mess has a well-earned reputation for hospitality — dinners and functions are characteristically held in one of the Cambridge Colleges, a tradition that gives the social calendar a quality that few Messes anywhere on the Circuit can match. The Resident Judge is HHJ Farrell KC.
Whether you practise in crime, family or civil work across these courts, the Cambridgeshire Bar Mess offers professional representation, practical engagement with the local Bench, and an exceptionally convivial social life.
