About the Mess
The Surrey & South London Bar Mess covers four Crown Court centres that between them represent some of the most varied criminal and civil work on the Circuit: Croydon, Isleworth, Guildford and Kingston. These are busy courts, drawing practitioners from across London and the Home Counties, and the Mess provides the professional framework that connects them.
After a period of inactivity, the Mess has been successfully resurrected with a new committee and a reinvigorated social programme. The energy that has gone into rebuilding the Mess is a reminder of how much practitioners value having a properly functioning local association — and how much can be achieved when the right people decide that something is worth reviving.
Whether you are a regular at Croydon or Guildford, Isleworth or Kingston, the Surrey & South London Mess is your professional home on this part of the Circuit.
